Participants of the Holy Land Tour expressed their delightfulness from the final day of the 2018 Holy Land Tour.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome– the founder of the renowned Christ Embassy Church has organized the final day of the 2018 Holy Tour as a “day to remember”. The week-ling visit to Israel was designed to play a crucial role in the spiritual success of the believers and followers of Pastor Chris and the Church. The trip was divided into four different groups, each accompanying the Pastor at crucial moments and sites. The Holy Land Tour aims to connect Christ believers with the Land of Jesus, expanding their understanding of the Bible and scripture, and thus connecting them to the Jewish land on a new level of faith. The entire tour was broadcasted and covered extensively by the news agencies, social media, and multiple streaming websites. The organization have thus declared the visit as “an overwhelming success”.

The day began while one of the groups still resided in Jordan, a neighboring country to Israel. They visited the city of Jerash. It is a city of the Decapolis and the site of the ruins of a Greco-Roman city. The site is filled with historical and biblical references dating back centuries. The Biblical Holy Land is not just in Israel, it spreads out to other modern-day countries such as Jordan, making this tour an opportunity to experience new countries.Participants expressed how amazed were they by the rich archeological diversity the site offered. They shared that “it was a moment in which Christians could understand, first hand, where Jesus resided and what He went through in His life.”

The participants were then served at a traditional Lebanese restaurant in Jerash, Jordan. The group received a warm welcome and had the chance to try traditional food and drink. The Holy Land Tour provides the opportunity not only to connect to the scripture but also to experience the diverse culture of Middle East.

The group went back to Israel by crossing the Allenby Bridge border. The Allenby Bridge, which is also known as the King Hussein Bridge connects the West Bank with Jordan and crosses the Jordan River. Other than through the West Bank, the bridge is currently the sole designated exit/entry point for West Bank Palestinians traveling in and out of the region.

To wrap up the day and the Holy Land Tour itself, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Pastor Benny Hinn are prepared to host a charity gala at Olmaya Hall, Jerusalem. The event will feature a ministration from the Man of God, leading his followers closer to Jesus and their faith. Invited guests include local and international members of the Evangelical community as well as supporters from the Jewish community and fans of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The Jerusalem Orchestra will also be there.

The ministration before the Gala will be broadcasted live tonight (Thursday the 17th of May), at 6PM (GMT+1) or 8PM Israel time. Those who want to watch the livestream can follow the official broadcast links on YouTube and Facebook:

School shooting victims remembered as sweet, hardworking

May 21, 2018

SANTA FE, Texas — An outgoing and "really funny" student who blocked the door to try to prevent the gunman from entering the classroom, an exchange student who aspired to work in civil service and a substitute teacher who frequently hosted gatherings were among the 10 people killed at a Texas high school. Family members and friends of the eight students and two teachers fatally shot Friday fondly remembered their loved ones. They used such words as sweet, hardworking and loving. Eight of the 10 were students: Kimberly Vaughan, Shana Fisher, Angelique Ramirez, Christian Riley Garcia, Jared Black, Sabika Sheikh,...

Texas mom marched after Parkland, then her town was next

May 21, 2018

SANTA FE, Texas — She stood at her bedroom door for five minutes Saturday morning trying to work up the courage to turn the knob and re-enter a world she worried would never feel safe or whole again. Then she crept down the hallway, toward the front porch where she stood the morning before to watch police cars screaming down the highway toward the high school, and imagined she'd never forget the screech of their sirens. Christina Delgado had been dreading the next school shooting for months, since a gunman stormed a high school 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) away in...

Economic talks between US-China result in truce in trade war

May 21, 2018

WASHINGTON — The United States and China are pulling back from the brink of a trade war after the world's two biggest economies reported progress in talks aimed at bringing down America's massive trade deficit with Beijing. "We are putting the trade war on hold," Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Sunday. After high-level talks Thursday and Friday in Washington, Beijing agreed in a joint statement with the U.S. to "substantially reduce" America's trade deficit with China, but did not commit to cut the gap by any specific amount. The Trump administration had sought to slash the deficit by $200 billion....

Trump vs 'the resistance' plays out in Washington courtroom

May 21, 2018

WASHINGTON — When police arrested more than 200 anti-Trump protesters on Inauguration Day 2017, it touched off a long-term battle of wits and wills. On one side: a Justice Department that has sought to incarcerate scores of people over a violent protest that smashed downtown storefront windows and set a limousine ablaze. On the other side: an intensely coordinated grassroots political opposition network that has made Washington the focus of a nationwide support campaign, offering free lodging for defendants, legal coordination and other support. The stand-off entered a home stretch last week when a trial began for four people, the...

Man faces murder charges in restaurant crash that killed kin

May 21, 2018

BESSEMER CITY, N.C. — A man intentionally rammed a vehicle into a steak and seafood outlet in North Carolina on Sunday, killing his daughter and daughter-in-law who had been seated inside the restaurant with other family members, police said. The vehicle's driver, Roger Self, was immediately arrested and the preliminary evidence indicates he purposely drove all the way into the Surf and Turf Lodge about noon, authorities said. Jail records show he's been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his daughter, Katelyn Self, a deputy with the Gaston County Sheriff's Office, and his daughter-in-law, Amanda...
